Partnering with the WFCM Food Pantry to Support Families and Fill Tummies in Fairfax County

Supporting Families and Filling Tummies in our Community

 

Summer can be a challenging time for families in our community as donations to the food pantry decrease. Many children who rely on school meals for breakfast, lunch, and snacks face hunger during the break. We want to help fill this gap and ensure no child goes hungry this summer.

Throughout July, we're collecting snacks to support the Western Fairfax Christian Ministries (WFCM) Food Pantry. Your generous donations will provide essential nourishment to families in need in Fairfax County, helping to fill tummies and bring smiles to kids in our community. Join us in making a difference this summer – every snack counts!

  • 100% Fruit Juice Boxes

  • Whole Grain Cereal

  • Oatmeal Packets

Here's how you can help:

  • Shop: During your regular trips to the grocery store, grab a snack or two to donate. If you're shopping as a family, explain to your kids the importance of helping others in the community. Let them pick out their favorite snack to give to another kid in need. Remind them how Jesus teaches us to love our neighbors and care for those in need (Mark 12:31). This is a wonderful opportunity to practice kindness and generosity as a family.

 

  • Spread the Word: Share the Snacktastic Food Drive with your friends, family, neighbors, and coworkers. Use social media, email, or even a friendly chat to encourage others to contribute.

 

  • Drop-off Donations: Bring your donations to Southview any Sunday between 9:30am - 11:30am from now until July 28. Your contributions will make a real difference in the lives of local families.
